Returns & Refunds Policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
Almost everything Dayna Day Designs makes is produced to order. Our patterns begin as original watercolors, and each pillow, yard of fabric and roll of wallpaper is printed and sewn for you after you place the order — a pillow embroidered with your family name has no value to anyone but you, so we can’t restock or resell returned work. This policy explains what that means in practice — and what we will always make right.
Custom and personalized items
Custom and made-to-order products — including fabric by the yard, wallpaper, pillows and pillow covers, window decals, mugs, ornaments, embroidered and monogrammed items, and wedding and event stationery — cannot be returned or refunded because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong quantity, or no longer need the item. Please double-check sizes, yardage, colorway, spelling and artwork before approving your order.
When something is actually wrong
If your order arrives defective, misprinted, materially different from your approved proof, or damaged in transit, we will remake and reship it at no charge to you. You don’t pay again, and you don’t pay return shipping.
This covers, for example:
- Printing or production defects — streaking, misregistration, flawed fabric, cutting or sewing errors
- Product that doesn’t match the proof you approved
- Wrong item, wrong size, wrong colorway, or wrong quantity shipped
- Damage that clearly occurred in transit
How to report a problem
Contact us within 7 days of delivery. Email dayna@printivize.com with:
- Your order number
- A description of the problem
- Clear photographs showing the issue (and the shipping box, if it arrived damaged)
Photos matter — they let us identify what went wrong on our end and prevent it happening again. We may ask you to keep the original item until the claim is resolved, and occasionally to return it.
After 7 days we generally can’t verify whether a problem originated with us, so claims outside that window are handled at our discretion.
Proof approval and your responsibility
For personalized work — embroidery wording, monograms, custom photo pillows, wedding stationery — you’ll approve a proof before we produce your order. Once you approve a proof, you’re accepting the artwork as shown, including spelling, names, dates, layout, dimensions and colors. We can’t remake free of charge for errors that were present in an approved proof, including typos in text you supplied.
If you spot a mistake after approving, contact us immediately. If we haven’t started production, we’ll fix it.
Fabric, wallpaper and real-world performance
We stand behind how your order is printed and made. How a material performs once it leaves us depends on things outside our control.
- Fabric — follow the care instructions supplied with your order. Shrinkage, fading or distortion caused by machine washing, hot drying, bleach or ironing against our stated guidance is not a defect. If you’re upholstering, making a garment or cutting into yardage, order a swatch first and wash it the way you intend to launder the finished piece.
- Wallpaper — results depend on wall preparation, the surface underneath, humidity and installation technique. We recommend a professional installer. Failures caused by unprepared, textured, freshly painted or damp walls, or by installation error, aren’t covered.
- Window decals — adhesion depends on the surface, how the decal is applied, and cleaning products used afterwards. Adhesive letting go on a dusty, textured or recently cleaned surface is not a defect.
- Sunlight — printed textiles and wallpaper will fade over time in direct sun. This is normal for printed goods and isn’t covered by this policy.
If your project has demanding conditions — a sunny room, a bathroom, upholstery that will see heavy use, an unusual wall — tell us before you order. Matching the right substrate to the job costs you nothing to ask about.
Color accuracy
Screens emit light; ink on fabric and paper reflects it. Colors on your monitor or phone will not match printed output exactly, and results vary between substrates — a colorway printed on cotton will not look identical to the same design on wallpaper or on a mug. Reasonable color variation is a normal characteristic of printing and is not considered a defect.
Dye lots also vary slightly between print runs. If you need multiple yards or rolls to match, order them together in one order — we can’t guarantee an exact match to something printed months earlier. If exact color is critical, order a swatch or sample before committing to a full order.
Cancelling an order
Orders can be cancelled any time before production begins — and for personalized work, any time before you approve your proof. Once printing, cutting or sewing has started, the order can no longer be cancelled. Because we produce to order and start quickly, email us immediately if you need to stop an order.
Shipping timeframes
Production and shipping estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Once a package leaves our workroom it’s in the carrier’s hands, and delays caused by carriers, weather or customs aren’t grounds for a refund. If you’re working to a hard deadline — a wedding, a photo shoot, an installation date — tell us up front and we’ll be straight with you about whether we can hit it.
Trade and wholesale orders
Designer, trade and wholesale accounts may be covered by separate terms agreed at the time of order. Where those terms differ from this policy, they take precedence.
Questions
If something isn’t right, tell us. We’d rather fix a problem than win an argument about it.
