The Pitcher began as one small piece of the Boston town toile — painted by hand in watercolour, then lifted out of the pattern and given a wall of its own. This is a ballplayer on the mound at the top of his delivery.
Printed on acrylic and finished in our own shop in Rockland, Massachusetts.
About the print
- Printed on acrylic, so the whites stay bright and the watercolour keeps its depth. The panel has a slight gloss and reads as though the painting is floating a little off the wall.
- Ready to hang. No frame needed and no glass to catch the light.
- Generous white margin around the artwork, the way a mounted painting sits inside a mat.
- Five sizes, from a 12″ square up to a 24″ × 36″ statement piece.
Hanging them together
These are drawn from a single painting, so they hang as a set without clashing. Three 11″ × 14″ panels in a row make a tidy wall above a console or a bed; one 24″ × 36″ will carry a room on its own. If you already have the Boston wallpaper or fabric, the motif on the print is the same hand that drew the pattern.
Before you order
- Made to order and shipped within one to two weeks.
- Returns. Because each panel is printed for you we cannot take it back if you change your mind — but if it arrives damaged, misprinted or not what you ordered, we replace it. Tell us within 14 days.
- Every motif is hand painted. Small variations in the wash are part of the watercolour, not a fault in the printing.
