The Nantucket toile began as an original watercolour — painted by hand, one landmark at a time, then drawn into a repeating toile the way toiles have been made for two hundred years. Nothing in it is stock art. If you know Nantucket, you will recognise what is in it: Brant Point, the cobbled streets and the grey-shingled houses.

How it is sold
Wallpaper is sold as 24″-wide panels. You pick the height that suits your wall and order as many panels as you need to cross it. Each panel is 2 feet wide, so a 10-foot wall takes five.
- 24″ × 12″ sample — $20. One full repeat at true scale, on the material you are considering. Tape it to the wall and live with it for a few days before you commit.

What a wall actually costs
A standard 10 ft × 8 ft wall is 80 square feet — five panels of 24″ × 96″. That comes to:

DreamScape Matte 20oz — $9.00/sq ft. Heavyweight 20oz wall covering with a flat matte face. Matte finish. Paste.
Criss Cross — $9.50/sq ft. Cross-hatch woven texture that softens large flat areas of colour. Matte finish. Paste.
Silk — $9.75/sq ft. Fine silky weave-like texture with a low satin lift under raking light. Satin finish. Paste.

Prisma — $15.00/sq ft. The premium ground — “unicorn grasscloth”, as our customers call it. The same texture as our grasscloth with a multi-faceted sparkle running through it. The top of the range. Satin finish. Paste.
Before you order
- Measure the wall, not the room. Width of the wall in feet, divided by two, rounded up, is your panel count. Height of the wall decides which panel you buy — go up a size rather than down.
- Order a sample first if you are unsure of the material. Twenty dollars now is cheaper than the wrong finish on a whole wall, and the sample is one full repeat at true scale. Use the code SAMPLE20 on a later wallpaper order over $150 and we credit the sample back.
- Every pattern is hand painted. The blues shift very slightly from town to town, because they were mixed by hand in watercolour. That is the point of it, not a fault.
- Made to order. Your panels are printed for you when you order, and ship within one to two weeks.
- Returns. Because every panel is printed to order we cannot take it back if you change your mind — but if it arrives damaged, misprinted or not what you ordered, we replace it. Tell us within 14 days.
- Shipping on wallpaper is free anywhere in the United States.
